I’m ready for some new Filter. This is a pretty sweet lineup for Ozzfest.

  2. elupien says:

haha this lineup looks more appetizing than rockstar imo. hopefully itll come true…

  3. twistedriffster says:

gotta disagree. sevendust and disturbed, that’s tough to beat.

  4. Dave_APTQ says:

The only reason their doing is this is do to Lyman’s tour. This is an example of selling out. What happened to the “metal-crazed” bands you couldn’t understand the lyrics to and being “different” starting in 2004. Looks like mainstream tours are coming back. Ozzfest is selling out & they will probably charge tickets this year.

    Probably charge tickets!?!!?!?! Dear God…

Dave, how can you possibly be happy with the way ozzfest is now? The quality of last year’s lineup was one of the worst and the entire tour was close to a promotional disaster. Ozzfest was in its prime and at the height of its popularity before 2004. Ozzy and the rest are merely trying to recapture that buzz that was so vibrant earlier in this decade….

twisted, had i not seen 7dust three times last year, i prob would agree with you. that is a killer combo. ive been waiting for a long time to see both stp and filter live though and to have the opportunity to see them on the same bill would be something special.

elupien: I’m being sarcastic. I liked Ozzfest back from/in 1999-2003

  9. elupien says:

haha my fault. usually better at catching sarcasm. you were quite convincing….

This looks like a pretty good line-up to go on the limited-run of Ozzfest. They finally blend in the old with the new.

Finally, some new Filter at last. That’s appropriate.

SMNnews posted this garbage to see how many people would copy it (who reads it), and to try and get more links in, since their numbers took such a drastic nose-dive in the past year. Based on some of the forums I’ve seen, it’s working.

  12. Marfa says:

I’m not at all impressed by the line-up… I might be a bit more happier if they took off Killswitch, I’m kind of tired of them. Yeah, hopefully most of those bands are just “rumors”.

  13. Sox5452 says:

That’s interesting Jay, im not really surprised it was all just complete bull though. These news stories/rumors fly around like crazy once they are broken.

  14. Chris says:

yeah, what Jay said. Sevendust was also on their list of “rumored” bands. Would be kind of hard for them to be on Ozzfest and the Rockstar Mayhem tour since both start in July.

  1. STP confirm reunion, Velvet Revolver future in doubt « Consequence of Sound
