Holy shit this is great! My 3 favorite disbanded bands, Trust Company, Dry Cell and now Cold BACK TOGETHER! This is awesome news.

Not like I care much but is Scooter’s solo project still coming out?

OMFG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! So fuckin’ happy.

Hopefully I don’t by before the end of next year………………………..

Well look at that. Fuck yeah.

Weird. I just felt the need to put cold on my ipod before i drove back to school tonight

Do we know if this is the original lineup or is it the lineup from the last cd?

oh god this is such great news, im stoked about this

Are you kidding me? This is fucking huge.

I seriously thought Cold were never releasing another album after A Different Kind of Pain…in my opinion, that is their best and probably one of my favorite albums ever. It is seriously underrated.

I am personally glad that Cold will be back together. That is great news.

That’s so awesome. We were talking about how great it would be if they did come back. Lol, and now they’re coming back. We just need to get Flaw back and it would be perfect.

A Different Kind Of Pain sucked big time. Better not be along the same lines.

A different kind of pain was fan friggin tastic. I totally agree with Cfw. One of my personal fave albums. And was also a huge fan of 13 ways to bleed on stage and year of the spider. Both excellent…TRULY excellent albums.

Great news!

also, what a great year for reunions. The Toadies have a new album coming soon….I cant believe that! F’n AWESOME!!!

Ohhhhh my god this is honestly in my opinion the best news in Tunelab history….You have just made my day…Morning started off crappy…Come into work and see this!? I never thought I would get a chance to see them live….Theres still hope….Not to mention with new tunes! Cant stop smiling guys

I had a feeling this might happen, And it is happening soon!!!!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES!!!!!!!

*does happy dance*

This is the best news in awhile for sure. The last big news for me was Ra release date and TrustCo. reunion.

Funny that I’ve been listening to Cold a lot this week, too. Irony much. I can’t wait for this. The b-sides/rarities should be interesting and hold us over till the new studio album is out. Sweetness.

…and all is right with the world again

this is definetely news peice of the year

Excellent news, really excited about the b-sides/rarities cd aswell.

YES!!! I am so fucking stoked. I have been a fan since 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage. Personally, I think A Different Kind of Pain is their best album, followed by Year of The Spider. This made my day :)

I hope we will get the edgier Cold of s/t and 13 Ways. I don’t know whether the change in sound had more to do with the change in band members, deciding to go more radio-friendly for increased airplay, or what, but whatever. The last two albums had some decent moments, but for the most part I’m not a fan of “Chicken Soup For The Soul” Cold.

God I hope they dont do what you said Forest Law.

I like their last 2 albums the most personally. I never got into their s/t and 13 Way to Bleed on Stage. I love ‘Year of the Spider’ and ‘A Different Kind of Pain’, however.

13 ways is my favorite, i’m all for that style

however, scooter is a much happier and cleaner person so i think that will reflect in the music

That’s awesome! I miss Cold! They were such an awesome band and I can’t wait to hear their new music too bad it won’t be out until fall of 2009! That’s a long time! :-D

It’s not a long time considering that we thought there would NEVER be another Cold album again.

Year of the spider | July 25th, 2008 at 7:07 pm

As many said this is the best piece of news ever on tunelab. Cold is my all time favorite band.

‘Year of the Spider’ is an album, I knew, that couldn’t be topped. I wondered where this band would go except nowhere, so Scooter’s got The Killer and the Star as his project he developed if things were never going to get back on track with Cold. Planned release of The Killer and the Star, The Series of Emotion, is in the fall. No exact date when in the fall, but IF this reminds more in the vein of what Ashes Divide has offered, which makes it feel disappointing (which it did for me), then having to go back to basics like Cold doing another new record is all I got hoping for.

Again, nothing compares to ‘Year of the Spider’ than the rest of the Cold discography. That was their best offered, so far. A new record is all I got to root for.

this makes me happy lol

whoo hooo! great news indeed. i like all their albums, including a different kind of pain. and like JAguitarist said, I also hope to see em live for the first time (I knew I shoulda seen em w/ evanescence & revis in ‘03).

This is great news!

I am pretty excited about this too. I am a big fan of Cold.
Also, just wanted to say that is very cool of you guys to mention my band, Trust Co, as well. We are very excited to be touring and doing a new record. It makes my heart happy to see that you guys are excited about that as well.
