and then when your at the quote page…hit ctrl A and you get some other text that covers the whole page…idk what it means tho…i feel like a PI right now lol

after you enter the code, on the main page the 2 in the first series of numbers is clickable

Jason and I found some other “clues”, but I can’t remember them now.

That’s pretty weak. Only 10 songs and one of them is a cover song. That’s all they could muster up, 9 new tracks?

They have a lot to live up to after the awsome End of Silence.Keeping my fingers crossed that its great.

Face it, 10 tracks is about standard. Plus you get 4 bonus tracks with the deluxe edition which is being released the same day

It’s just still bothering me. It used to be 16, then 14, then 12, then 11 and now 10. 10 tracks is not enough, even for a good CD. There should be at least 12, but I’d prefer 14.

11 actual songs is bare minimum, 13 above average, and anything above that is just outstanding. Anything below 11 is generally unacceptable for a band signed to label, especially if its not the debut album. Death Magnetic gets a pass with 10 songs due to the length of each song.

Hey face it guys, End of Silence only had 10 songs as well, and one of those was just a different version of an earlier song from the album (Already Over). It’s not surprising.

I’m sure the number of tracks on albums now is relative to the decline in album sales.

From a business side, why put 11 or 12 tracks on an album when a good number of people are just going to rip it off instead of buy it?

Would it matter if you had 10 awesome tracks vs. 5 awesome tracks and 5 so-so tracks?

Ok so i just went to that Virgils book thing on that Danteys myspace…..then i put in the Seven Deadly Sins thing and it sent me to Red’s myspace….hmmm lol

If there is a video for “Death Of Me” do you guys think its a single?

Countdown says 12 days, single release?

Death of Me is tabbed to be their first single, released in January.

That’s not days, it’s counting down hours. Midnight tonight is when it will end. Guess we’ll have to go back and see what happens. Maybe they’ll be streaming that “Death of Me” song. I’d assume it’s the single as well. Don’t normally make a video for a song without it being a single.

The hidden/white text on that page with the quote appears to be lyrics to “Fight Inside” I believe.

Hit Ctrl+A theres passages and websites to go to.

oh nevermind

Mike, when the heck was 16 songs standard for albums? Even in the 70s and 80s most albums only had 9-11 songs because of the limitations of vinyl. 12 songs seems like the ideal number to me, but 10 is definitely a little cheap.

rock has taken a turn to release fewer and fewer songs; more often than not those albums with less songs are better than their counterparts. Each song is higher quality, but, in modern music industry, quick releases are preferred. Why is hip-hop thriving? fast paced music with fast paced releases: new songs every day, new albums each year, with each album having anywhere from 12-18 songs. the rock genre went the other direction, and has decreased the number, averaging 10-12 as far as i can tell.. more than that is a gift. plus, once every two years per band is all we are given

as for red, I’m psyched! love this band, still listen to their album alot

I’d rather have 10 great songs, than 13 average.

Even though End of Silence was short, it packed one hell of a punch.

Wow, so we’re actually getting another single out of this? Three songs before the album’s released? Both that have been have been really good.

Can’t wait to hear Death of Me.

Wow they are really selling this well, its scary how well they made this “maze”.
I guess I am gonna keep the countdown on in the background and see what we get. I just hope all this hype isnt for “Fight Inside”.

I found http://www.abandonallhope.net/ but it doesn’t appear that anything is on the page? confused…

I can’t wait to hear the Duran Duran cover!

The only thing i can’t figure out is where to input the Inferno code.

Are we seriously splitting hairs on the difference between 10 and 11 songs? 11 is great, but so is 10 if the music is good. Maybe the songs are just long?

I honestly could not care less how many songs there are on the album. For Christs sakes people, at least they’re still together and putting out music. That’s all I’m concerned about.

only 13 minutes left guys before the big mystery is up….hope its actually something good.

A new Red Nation blog posted just a little while ago confirms that “Fight Inside” is in fact the first single for the album. I’m a little interested that they made a video for “Death of Me” instead of “Fight Inside” (unless of course they have and haven’t said that yet). Also, since it’s actually included on the album the maybe that means it will be the second single that will probably come out before the album? Or my last option I can think of is that it’s just one of those super special songs that has a big meaning behind it for the band and they wanted to make a video to kind of tell the story behind it maybe?

The countdown now says 88 days for me, which I believe is the days to Feb. 10th (release date) if I’m counting right.

yeah….did they release anything on myspace or something just now…i don’t believe that countdown was for nothing

So the maze just completely confused me, but its really cool that a band would go to that much effort. But, I only had a few songs of Red till recently when I bought End of Silence b/c everyone talked it up so much and though I don’t think his voice is the best, the emotion of the alubm blew me away, especially “Pieces.” If this is anything like the last I will no doubt get it.

This reminds me of when Nine Inch Nails released Year Zero…

I love ARGs.

Creed did a similar thing with ‘Weathered’… unopeneddoors.com

whats with the picture at abandonallhope.net? i tried printing it and it showed “V of IX” at the bottom…

Instead of arguing over how many songs are on the album, we should be grateful that we are going to get a second album…period. I don’t care if it has 5 songs or 50, I love RED and whatever they sing. Are you guys having fun with the scavenger hunt? You know, you guys can get in RED’s chatroom at http://www.kyte.tv/ch/57906-redkyte and come chat with the rest of us REDheads! We would love to have you! Besides, the guys drop in sometimes by video or chat.
