Directed by Miss O’Neill’s 3rd grade class with $250 and a Sanyo camcorder!

Didn’t they just put out a professionally made video for “Second Chance”?

Yea they did lol but Elknet said on the boards that the CD comin out in the UK soon and this is the first single…So maybe its to honor that….They are clearly not done with Second Chance — That is gonna get a lot of radio play from all kinds of stations

I’m glad this is a single anywhere…this was always my favorite song from the album.

I think i’ll have to change my nick sometime soon, it looks ugly as hell :-)

From now on i’ll just be plain Eitan :-)

Alrighty…

…I don’t quite get this video, but no matter. This song is probably my favorite from them since “Fly From the Inside” and I’ve been waiting for it to hit radio since the album came out and knew it would. Now they need “What A Shame” and I’ll be completely happy : )

I personally think this video is way better than second chance. They only showed Brent in that, at least this has the entire band. I like the effects too. And somehow the plot of the whole thing is kind of cool, the guy being all badass and saving the kid. Though I agree… I don’t really get how it goes with the song.

And I completely agree. What a Shame is one of the best songs they have ever put out. It’s underated.

twas good. but it’s shinedown, so that’s to be expected, lol.

Second Chance is about top 50 on pop radio right now and still on its way up, I think they need to capitalize and release another pop friendly song soon (If You Only Knew perhaps?). I’m hoping that Breaking Inside (my personal favorite) sees the light of day at some point, same with What A Shame.

No, not another poppy song Necro…

This is my favorite song from this album. I would be okay with “What a Shame” for next single, because it’s a great song, but other than that no more soft songs from them. I would love if “Energy” would be released as a single, I think it’s growing to be my second favorite from the album… and it’s a bonus track!

“No, not another poppy song Necro…”

Well pop radio sure isn’t gonna play SoM. They can do a double-single release or something, a rock single and a separate pop single. Though I doubt the label would go for that. Most people here probably wouldn’t care if they cross over, but I think Shinedown wants to have more of a presence outside of Active and Alternative rock.

I’m just worried that if songs like Second Chance and If You Only Knew become really popular, the next Shinedown album will be based on that sound, and I don’t think I’d buy that album. The harder stuff on this album is awesome, and I’d personally love to see that side of them develop more. But that’s just me being selfish, I guess…

Justin, I completely agree. If Shinedown ever heads in the pop/alternative direction, they may gain fans but they will lose my respect. I’ve been watching these guys since before LAW was released and they are a very different band today than they used to be. I would love to see them go in teh direction of Son of Sam or Sound of Madness, They were the tracks I really looked forward to. But of course if they just went back to Leave a Whisper they would be perfect.
