I think it’s a well enough done video. The only issue I have is that Static-X’s videos are always the same. The band plays while something chaotic happens around them. I wish they’d put some more imagination into these things, but I understand it’s probably more a monetary issue than anything. Like the black and white though.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the woman in the video is Wayne’s wife, am I right? Or am I wrong? Cause I imagine it would be since A) the song is referring to her and B) it would probably save money.
*sigh* Why can’t they go back to the “So” era? Awesome song but then they broke back into the screamo stuff and it just doesn’t work for me…
Wow. “So” is like one of the few Static-X songs that doesn’t have screaming, and that’s even talking about the same album. You really want more stuff like that? That song didn’t even do that well, even by Static-X standards.
I do.
It was the only song I could bear listening to from them, and I keep secretly hoping they’ll go that direction. The guy can sing when he actually bothers to.
I just find it odd, because this is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone want them to go in that direction. Usually people want them to return to WDT-style. I mean, that was what they built their career on. A lot of people actually didn’t like the more melodic direction Shadow Zone took.
Never could get into this band. I think they are generic and his vocals give screamed vocals a bad name. I hope this isnt what people hear when they hear w randon screaming band.
This belongs in the year 2000 with Spineshank.
I am a huge Static-X fan, and I almost love all of they’re videos they put out. but honestly, I must say that this video is really, really boring…also the black/white thing makes the video boring. and the song? c-mon, those guys can do it way better. I am some kind of dissapointed, i hope that the rest of the new record is way better!
I like the Shadow Zone/Start A War much better than anything else they’ve put out.
I like the Shadow Zone/Start A War era^
I just can’t get into these guys, Spineshank are so much better.
Spineshank and Static-X are two different kinds of bands. I guess both can be put into industrial, but Spineshank has always been more like Fear Factory and Static-X has always been more like Ministry.
I thought the song and video were ok.
