Its pretty good. I like her voice. I’m not sure how well they will do, this sounds exactly like ‘Fallen’ from Evanescence haha.

Whoa, come on now…

She sounds like Amy Lee. Her delivery is exactly like Amy Lee. The music, same thing.

I’m not even a fan of her or Evanescence but there is nothing original to this. (at least, from this song.)

Based on the interviews given, I was pretty much expecting a continuation of the Fallen sound as if Ben Moody were still in the band. It ironically now sounds like Lacuna Coil’s Comalies era.

I like it! I’ll take this over waiting years for Amy Lee to get around to releasing more music. It’s like Evanessence is back again. This is really good. Carly has an incredible voice though. I’d say better Amy for sure.

Did I mention she’s way hotter?

jesus.. it sounds just like evanescence

They have potential but Amy’s voice is better song seems off…….

Evanescence changed their name? Oh wait, this is a different band? I can’t tell the difference. At all.

Sorry honestly it’s good but not that close to evanescence no matter how much you want it! She IS NOT as good a singer as Amy. She is a good singer but if your going to compare her to any one she sounds more like Lizzy Hale than Amy Lee! This just reinforces to me that Evanescence is was and always will be Amy Lee!
Ben Moody is extreamly talented his solo album was good and he is just great as a songwriter!

Looks like Amy and sounds like her and even has similar lyrics lol.

Can The Fallen out-Evanescence Evanescence? Amy Lee’s got her work cut out for her.

Mattrixj: Face it, whether you want to admit it or not, Carly Smithson’s voice is way better than Amy Lee’s.

They both have different strengths and weaknesses. As far as studio vocals go they are both stellar. Carly seems better live and a lot less pitchy than Amy. Amy is flat and sharp a lot. However, Amy has a more dark presence and more of a metal feel. The new song is not “heavy” and seems a bit watered down for radio. The guitars are simple and not as dramatic or as epic as early Moody stuff. I wish them luck and hope to hear more.

im gonna have to go more with lacuna coil with a hint of halestorm then evanescence.

If you had replaced every instance of “We Are the Fallen” with “Evanescence” I don’t think anybody would have had any problem believing that this song was Amy Lee and her current band. Lame.

not a fan of her voice

i definitly hear lacuna coil in there. personally i could’ve done wihtout the string arrangement and the seemingly veyr long bridge, as Carly appeared to be singing over a decent solo, and that annoys me alot. The strings part to me just add too much backing noise to the song. i want to hear more from the guitars and Carly, not added strings.

It’s an interesting song. IT doesn’t have that dark, metal feel that evanescence used to have, but i like Carly’s voice more and the song overall isnt that bad. A plus for it is that it defintily does not have the horrible backing vocals that AMy seemed to rely on on the evanescnece stuff. Another issue i have with the song is that it seems to rest on borderline of that “super-radio-friendly” trap that most female fronted bands (ex. in this moment’s new stuff) fall into. that and it seems like Moody (i’m gonna assume he wrote the lyrics) tried to fit a bit too much into the chorus)

IT’s decent song. I look forward to hearing more

overall rating of the song: 7/10

Why did they start into Evanescence stuff at the end?
I thought it was suppose to be a completely new band?

Can’t just start playing Evanescence stuff
Evanescence is a band still.

Ok, seriously, is this all just some big joke? It’s the original Evanescence band. Their name and single are tied to Ev albums/songs. This chick is trying desperately to sing in Amy Lee style, and apparently is trying very hard to look like her.

I feel like they’re gonna get big, then Ben Moody will call a press conference and say “ha! see?!? it had nothing to do with Amy, we could do it with anybody!”.

Really, all this is is Ev part 2.

is the band name “We Are the Fallen” or “The Fallen”. I have heard both

They changed their name to “We Are the Fallen” from “The Fallen”.

Another band already had the name The Fallen and legally had them change it.

They could have pulled off an audioslave type deal. :)

I kinda like it. Sounds a lot like Evanescence though… too much?

Not a bad song but they sound just like Evanescence only not quite as good. Only a matter of time before it becomes the trendy thing to hate on this band just like it is with Evanescence.
