TuneLab User Reviews Breaking Benjamin’s New Single “I Will Not Bow”
TuneLab member and 89X rock radio DJ Jay Hudson was lucky enough to hear Breaking Benjamin’s new single “I Will Not Bow” today, and he has offered up his thoughts on the song, check it out below:
“I got a chance to hear it a few times today! This has been something I’ve been looking forward to all summer. Short and sweet, here’s what I gathered from it…
If there is one Breaking Benjamin song that combines all elements from their previous three albums….this is the one! It has that patented BB sound using great melodies, catchy hook and big breakdowns! Ben Burnley’s voice sounds better then ever! Chad Szeliga definitely showcases his talent on the kit, with some Danny Carey (Tool) like drum fills…wait, did I just say that? In addition to that, the guitars sound amazing, with a nice little solo in there too! David Bendeth did a great job producing this song! I believe all the die hard BB fans will be very satisfied.”
The track, which impacts rock radio on August 17th, is the first single from the band’s upcoming new album ‘Dear Agony‘ due out September 29th.

50 posts already, damn!
Thanks onoleader, I’m hoping there’ll be some Southeast coast dates on it, I’m definitely taking off work for it, it’s been years since I last saw them. The last time I had tickets to see them it was supposed to be at the House of Blues in Mrytle Beach, SC not long after Phobia had came out and it was cancelled because Ben was sick. They had several dates at the end of that tour cancelled if I remember correctly in fact.

oops sorry…wrong link
Why cant we have Jay over at 89x play it on the radio station so we can listen to that station live online!!!
There’s no point in having specific dates to play a song on the radio. If the station has it, there’s no reason not to play it
If I understand this correctly, Mr. Hud got to hear the single because he is a radio dj, and will be playing the song whenever, so… did Mr. Hud get a dj single in the mail? Is it against protocol or whatever to post up the single art? Sometimes it’s an actual “cover”, other times it’s just a blank cover. I am just curious
This is too good, haha. For real, this song cant be THAT good for real. There is no way this is the highly anticipated album of the year can it? Breaking Benjamin? Really? Or how about the greatest album of this year? It’ll be hard to judge between this and Chevelle, Alice In Chains, AFI, Default, The Used, Creed, Atreyu, 30 Seconds To Mars, and others. How about Mudvayne, Three Days Grace, and Crossfade?
Last I heard Crossfade broke up, but I could be wrong.
Please………someone……….ban shadowking once and for all.
hey armageddon2000, where did u hear that? I didn’t hear anything about a Crossfade breakup
Crossfade hasn’t broke up, unless something has happened recently and armageddon knows the band personally.
DEAR AGONY,
Please Hurry Up!
From A Huge BB Fan
The radio stations don’t have the single yet, they’re just getting to hear previews of it.
I read it on Crossfade’s website last year. Things may have changed since then.
Not what my station said Mikel, they got it digitally this morning.
Apparently I was wrong. They just split from their label last year and are currently unsigned, but they are still together. And they are actually working on an album. My bad guys
cool to know omar, jayhud said he would let me know when he can play it so we can tune in, but I’m really guessing it’s going to leak before then.
I am litterally looking out for that song the next few days and so on. I mean on their myspace page and radio because I will find it. And I will prove to people why they call me Shadowking after listening to this song.
Mikel, someone on the shallow bay said they called jayhud personally and he said the song will be played next weds.
I don’t know if anyone mentioned it here, but someone from TSB reminded me of Saturday’s date (8/8)! The 3 year anniversary of Phobia! Song will probably be put up on that date!
Thanks ono, he told me that earlier tonight. But like i said above, the song will most likely leak well before that.
Is there a way to make a “rolls eyes” smiley?
Finally, after searching forever I found it!

That link you posted is NOT the song ^^^
I HATE them and i still know what they sound like.
lol, what band is that?
natevshurricane, it seems pretty legit to me…
Hey look guys, im not trying to post on here a million times. But i shouldve thought a little more before i trashed BB. I respect them, mainly cause they got me through high school. But i just dont listen to them anymore. Theres no delete button for posts so consider this an apology. Peace.
Kalt, does it sound like Ben Burnly singing? Sure the opening riff is sweet, but once the vocals kicked in i realized its NOT BB. And where in the song do you hear the words I Will Not Bow? Exactly.
come on kalt..no one’s falling for that lol…is that your band or is that some local band out there or what?
wow that was so stupid
I’ll remove it for ya nate.
It’s sounds like that band Blindside to me. Definitely not BB though
Blindside?
Yeah. They’re a pretty good band. The singer in that video sounds like the lead singer of that band
No I mean, that band sounds NOTHING like blindside dude. I’m not sure what you’re hearing.
lol. I said the singer sounds like it, as in his voice sounds like the lead singer of blindside. But not the music though.
alrighty, back to BB
Contrary to what i said EARLIER, Phobia was a pretty epic album. I need to go listen to it again, i have high hopes for this song, and What Lies Beneath.
“come on kalt..no one’s falling for that lol…is that your band or is that some local band out there or what?”
Yeah..I know…but you have to admit it’s come the closest out of all the fakes…up until the vocals kick in.
It’s local-rockers Troy (who have actually opened for BB).
did you do the vid? great job if so.
Haha thanks..yeah it’s mostly just the official trailer with some minor editing.
Hopefully we get the song today! It’s been three years since Phobia to the day!
I like it, it’s like Phobia just lees commercially motivated, yet still catchy.
