amazing.
Sounds like some good tunes…now get in the Delorean with Marty and pick me up a copy.
This is kind of funny, I am writing this while listening, and after each one, I was about to write ________ is an amazing song. Then the next one would come on and I’d be ready to say the same thing. What can I say? This entire ALBUM is amazing! Alice in Chains is BACK!
AHHH most anticipated album of the YEAR.
Jesse has the right idea. Next week we get Pearl Jam. Then we’ll have to wait for new STP and Soundgarden lol
This is for sure my most anticipated album of the year. I think it always was, but more in a curious way. Now its most anticipated becaue it truely sounds great.
Im a hard core PJ fan, so I cant wait for that ,but I think AIC just might be the album of the year for me. Time will tell. Getting PJ, Chevelle, AIC, BB all in one year is one hell of a year for me. New Creed and , maybe wishful thinking, STP. This year would go down as one of the greatest years for buying music all time in my book.
Well… and this is if we get lucky, I’d call next year a great year too. Alter Bridge, Seether, Godsmack, Disturbed, and Shinedown are all due next year I’d say.
Goodbye Layne.
Mourning is over.
Hello AIC again!!! Happy to have ya back!
This will be 2009′s “Back in Black”…. UGH I CAN’T WAIT!!!
I still think hype is getting to a lot of you, these songs are a bit average.
Jesse, I have to agree with you about every song sounding fantastic. This is shaping up to be the best album I’ve heard in quite a while, which is exactly what I expected from one of my favorite bands.
Matt, maybe we are a bit over-hyped. As you can see I openly admit to being an AiC superfan. But the fact remains you can’t argue with this band’s stellar output back in the day and this sounds just as good as that material to me at least.
My vow to not listen to any more album “spoilers” is getting really difficult…
This is a very solid album. This was a long time in the making and very much worth the wait. I can’t wait until the 29th.
That’s what I’m getting at, I’m not hearing anything that really compares to their past stuff. Yes, they are good songs, but for Alice In Chains they aren’t on par with their old stuff. Maybe when I heard the full album I will change my mind, as for now these clips haven’t done a thing for me and “A Looking In View” and “Check My Brain” are just decent songs.
Drip drip drip.
Some of these sound downright epic to me. Black Gives Way to Blue sounds like a tearjerker.
