Wow. That’s awesome. Almost a double album after all, which is about what they owe us after this wait. The clips on iTunes sound pretty good.

I was going to say the same thing Lucas said. Awesome.

Yeah, that’s cool…..except that the deal is for Itunes. Lame. I want a “deluxe edition” physical CD released. I’m an old timer dammit. These digital download exclusives blow. Hard.

I am with, ragekorne. This is dumb when you can release it on the actual physical format. Also, this is going to suck even more when you go and it is one of two things, either it is only available to the pre-orders, or it is only available if you purchase the whole album on iTunes (and I perfer physical copies of my albums – it substantiates a real purchase for me).

    can’t*

  6. fzmadness October 8, 2009 at 10:15 am #

Im with you guys. I love my Ipod, but I still have to have a physical CD.I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for a deluxe version.

  7. 11milleran October 8, 2009 at 12:44 pm #

    Haahah. Check around..

There is a deluxe edition on cd, it’s got a bonus disc. The itunes that features all 21 is the Expanded deluxe.

The only confusing thing is what is happening to Uncle Bobby & Stay (which you can buy now anyway from amazon from target red room vol.5).

    1. “Break Your Knees”
    2. “Enemy”
    3. “Have We Lost”
    4. “Who Am I”
& maybe Stay will be the cd release

Initial reports said that Stay would be a 15th/16th track on all international editions (15 on what was known, 16 if Uncle Bobby is 15). Itunes has Exclusive, but not bonus after it on the expanded edition, but bonus on the normal bonus track edition. Now wikipedia is saying it will be on the bonus disc… What will happen, who will know?

Also Japan has to be getting something that we won’t on cd first (they always do)? Maybe they’ll get Bitter Sweet (Which I’m hopin’ for anyway)
    .. Or a 22nd track??

The worst thing would be Uncle Bobby……… Itunes does not list it as a bonus track, although Amazon does not have it in the tracklist (and no reports from last week had it either)

So actually.. The only real itunes track is Bitter Sweet. Which is pre-order only..

I love how fans believe they are “owed” ANYTHING. We’re just lucky enough that these amazing bands are able and willing to share their talents with us.

  9. tlmikel October 8, 2009 at 2:40 pm #

    good ol self entitlement.

Bart: Hey, I know it wasn’t great, but what right do you have to complain?
Comic Book Guy: As a loyal viewer, I feel they owe me.
Bart: What? They’re giving you thousands of hours of entertainment for free. What could they possibly owe you? I mean, if anything, you owe them!
Comic Book Guy: Worst episode ever.

Seriously? They have how much bonus/unreleased material?? Penholder & Broken wings are two of their best songs IMO.

& Let’s forget about the other 8 new songs they’ve released in that time period too, just to keep us happy!

Something I Can Never Have [AMAZING NIN COVER]
    Stay
    What’s This
    Tina Much Like Falling
Justice & Mercy [5 Star Song!!]
    Supernatural [Acoustic/Studio for some]
    Christmas Song
Do You Hear What I Hear?

& I guess the acoustic bonuses don’t count either?
    ————
They remained active enough, and they don’t owe us anything. They were touring so everyone could SEE them.

There’s no excuse for how long it took them to bring out a new album. Two years should be the limit, anything longer than that is just ridiculous.

    • ROB August 13, 2010 at 2:54 pm #

matt! I KNOW!!! thats too much time!.. its like Evanescence.. they stopped in 2006 and now a new album in 2010 THATS 4 YEARS!!!

  13. ragekorne October 8, 2009 at 8:16 pm #

They might not OWE us anything, but by releasing:
    Standard Edition
    Deluxe Edition
    Super Deluxe Edition (Itunes exclusive)
Fantastic Fabulous Ultimate Diamond Great Grand Wonderful Edition (Fan Club Exclusive)….

We’re sure as hell not going to feel like we owe THEM anything. All these multiple releases just screams for you to “obtain the songs in other ways” (Illegal Downloading)

It’s as if bands WANT you to “steal” their music.

  14. 11milleran October 8, 2009 at 9:26 pm #

Shit? Is there really a Fan Club edition??
-And you only have to buy one edition. If you want over 14 songs you have pay more than the normal cost. And as for one online edition, that shouldn’t bother you. Just buy the Deluxe, & download the track. (or- and this saves ALOT of money, just buy the one Itunes edition. It has all 21 & only costs 12.99)

    And to Matt:
They re-released the first album in 2007? With quite a bit of extras, and some of the acoustics have special lyrics (Like Cassie)

  15. Matt October 8, 2009 at 10:03 pm #

You’re probably the first person I know who tries and make excuses as to why it took them this long to bring out a new album.

  16. 11milleran October 8, 2009 at 10:34 pm #

Well they released two EP’s & some songs on VA things between then & now..*
The only thing that makes me mad is that they couldn’t settle on the release date. I think that is crap. I mean, seriously? I’m still expecting them to change it to Nov. 17!

They could have held off, and released a 11 track album in ’07, but than we wouldn’t have all these other songs (stay/SICNH),, and just make your own sophmore album with all the bonuses/extras. There’s plenty to pick from.

  17. kyle1020 October 9, 2009 at 2:25 am #

Rereleases and lovely EPs do NOT compensate for long delays. Rereleases are basically a way to say, “Hey remember us? No? Well here listen to this CD AGAIN while we take forever to do the next one.”

  18. 11milleran October 10, 2009 at 2:01 pm #

You missed the point. Instead of all that they could have done something like this:

    1. Much Like Falling
    2. Justice & Mercy
    3. Christmas Song
    4. Tina
    5. Supernatural
    6. Stay
    7. Something I Can Never Have
    8. Do You Hear What I Hear
    9. What’s This?

And than they could re-do lets say two songs:
    10. Broken Wings
    11. Tiny Heart

And than they’d have some bonuses (Which are released atm)
    12. Supernatural [Acoustic]
    13. Pride (In the Name of Love) [Live]
    ——
They could have easily done that. They decided to release them through various means instead.
