Creed To Launch 2010 World Tour

Creed drummer Scott Phillips confirmed in a recent interview that the band will launch another US tour in the Spring of 2010 followed by a world tour with plans to hit Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and Europe.

Phillips also confirmed that the band’s upcoming new album ‘Full Circle‘, which drops next week, will not be the band’s final album.

  1. I highly doubt Alter Bridge releases another album. With the crap they are going through over the DVD release with Universal, I don’t see them getting another shot. They can say all they want about a new album in 2010. Can’t really take Tremonti at his word anymore. Don’t forget he once said Creed would never get back together.

  2. To settle this whole thing Alter Bridge should just open for Creed we all know Creed is the bigger name this way everyone wins. Why bother to pay another band to open unless Stapp’s ego is too big for that. Scott and Myles can play a set or a few songs from their solo albums.

  3. Asking Scott, Brian and Mark to essentially play two sets is absurd. The physical toll that would take on them over the course of a tour wouldn’t be worth it, if they would even be able to complete a tour like that.

  4. I’m pretty sure Alter Bridge will release another album, but I don’t see it happening for a while though. Also, I think a lot of people can stop saying they are just doing this to help Alter Bridge. I’m starting to feel they put their heart into “Full Circle” and they are finally comfortable being in Creed again.

  5. I also think the whole bashing Stapp thing needs to end also. I mean “Scott Stapp’s ego”? I mean the guy grew up, is it really that hard to believe? I still feel to this day that a lot of the publicity was one sided. I don’t feel Tremonti and the others were saints like everyone likes to believe.

  6. Other bands have done this before. Anyway I believe the 2 bands will coexist. But the touring schedule needs to be made shorter and broken upwith a month or so off inbetween legs of the tour like Metallica alloting them more family time.

  7. LoL worry bout it after just… YAY CREED! All this aurging nonsense is takin away from the “yay creed made something that’s releasing and another world tour soon!” lol…. YAY CREED! LoL

  8. Oh goody! Maybe they can sell tickets to shows for only 75 cents but only after i pay 75 for mine!

Eh, whom am I kidding? I would go see them again even if I had to pay full price. And another Creed album in the future? Ah! I am currently quite giddy.

  9. I don’t know why people think its an absurd idea for Creed and AB to exist.

    Prime example:
    Tool and APC.

Of course Creed is going to do more than one tour to promote there comeback album, especially being as big as they are, only doing one go around before the album even comes out, for less than a year may i add, would be ridiculous. AB coming out in 2010? Maybe only likely late in the year, but still not very likely, and that could have (and should have) been assumed from the get go. However, once this new Creed album is done with releasing singles and the tours calm, im willing to bet AB3 will go into pre-production.

I could be wrong, and hopefully im not, but everyone’s hatching the “AB is done” egg way too early.

  10. I think whats cool about this is that it is Scott Phillips and not Stapp talking about the future of Creed. When they first came back everyone assumed it was because of Stapp and he needed the money and blah blah blah. But this pretty much proves that the band is back here to stay. Once the album comes out and if it explodes and it sells well all bets are off. Creed should rule the charts in the rock market. It’s pointless to get into the whole AB/Creed debate, but from that interview, I’m hearing a band that enjoys being together and the future is more about Creed then AB. And now for alterbridge21 to make his entrance……

  11. Now this is just my opinion my opinion, I always liked Creed in the past but I always got the feeling that Scott stapp was a arrogant, unapproachable, i’m better than you you kinda guy and I never got that feeling with Myles Kennedy . Time will tell if Stapp has changed or not. I do wish the best for Creed but I also hope that Myles can find a way to put out some music to on the side because he is also a very talented guy!

  12. Someone from the AB camp needs to do an interview because from this interview you can get the feeling that they’re back to stay with Creed and no Alter Bridge. Just saying “we’ll be back with new album” should not be enough for AB fans.

  13. Creed and AB will coexist. More like Mudvayne and Hellyeah than APC and Tool. Because, quite frankly, Maynard is a Machine! But new Creed is pretty good. So they will definitely tour alot in support of it. And I’m sure when new AB comes out I will be all over it, and it’ll be awesome!
