TuneLab’s Top 10 Articles of 2009

Since everybody else is doing a top-10 list of the year for one thing or another, here are the 10 most-visited items on TuneLab for the year of 2009 (not including the index, message board, or release dates page):

10. Five Finger Death Punch Album Stream
9. Three Days Grace ‘Life Starts Now’ Tracklist
8. 30 Seconds to Mars Sending “Kings and Queens” to Radio
7. 30 Seconds to Mars ‘This is War’ Tracklist
6. Three Days Grace ‘Life Starts Now’ Review
5. Breaking Benjamin Title Album ‘Dear Agony’
4. Breaking Benjamin ‘Dear Agony’ Review
3. Breaking Benjamin ‘Dear Agony’ Tracklist
2. Muse Refuse to Lip Sync
1. Transformers 2 Soundtrack Details Revealed

It’s clear our visitors love them some BB, 30STM, and 3DG. Well, that and we saw that the fans of those bands were very passionate about spreading news about those bands.

Speaking of spreading news, the Muse story/video was submitted to several social media sites, and was so popular it took down the server for half a day. Since then, we’ve installed a patch so that it won’t happen again.

The Transformers soundtrack was a worldwide sensation, and was near the very top of Google Trends right after the movie came out, and our news article was the very first result when Googling the soundtrack. Most of those visits came from overseas.

All in all, it was a great year, and 2010 is going to put it to shame. Tomorrow here on the site we announce the details of what we’re loosely calling our very own record label.

Happy New Year everybody! Be safe.

Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace and 30 Seconds to Mars all became my favorite bands of 2009. As well as Skillet and Adelitas Way to name a few.

I’m surprised the Transformers 2 soundtrack was such a popular story considering it consisted mostly of songs that were already released. None of the other stories surprise me all that much, I am looking forward to hearing about this record label though.

I would not have guessed Transformers 2 either. It didn’t have many comments, didn’t realize it was getting that many hits. Muse article is no surprise with the Reddit coverage. Breaking Benjamin is never a surprise around here.

Disappointed that news about a soundtrack for a movie was the biggest draw, but I guess the google thing caused it. The rest of the list doesn’t surprise me, glad BB represented. I though, from seeing 5, 4 and 3 that they might take the whole damn top 5 before I scrolled down.
