This is what the 5th or 6th single off of the album and it went #1 on Active Rock without a video? It says a lot about how big the band is when they can achieve something like that.

This is my favorite song of theirs. I love this song

  3. Crush says:

I really liked this song when it came out but it’s way overplayed on my local rock station…I hate when they do that. It almost ruins the song completely.

Someone needs to tell Brent “You don’t need make up to try and make yourself look beautiful”.

  5. J4ESTER says:

Also please stop the lip syncing…SING THE SONG. You look dumb not actually singing…and us fans can tell

  6. David says:

i’ve seen every Shinedown video and I don’t see any lip-syncing.

    @David and Jester

Every video in the history of music videos has a band lip-syncing.
What the hell are you talking about?

    • J4ESTER says:

He only Lipsyncs in videos…yeah I know videos have people lip sync…but for some unknown reason Brent looks stupid while he does it. Its like you cant feel his passion for the music without the actual noise coming out of his throat…

  8. One of the better videos by Shinedown. Damn good band!

I just got back from the Carnival of Madness Tour in Canandaigua, NY. Brent was definitely lip syncing. I suspected it about the 2nd song on the set but couldn’t really figure out if he was or not. It seemed like he lip synced on certain parts of songs. I was about 13 rows back so I had a good view of him. The girl next to me thought he was lip syncing a little bit too. There was a big difference between the songs he actually sang and the ones that looked lip synced…you can just tell by the quality of his voice. The last song on the set really made it obvious though. He sang a lower pitch for the chorus and no one else was singing (The guitarist or bassist) but there was a higher pitch also singing along with him…make your own conclusions…

I don’t support of unsupport your theory of lip synching the show because I wasn’t there. But I have seen them twice, and both times I was right up against the stage and hear brent’s voice, not the mic, and he wasn’t ls that show atleast. About the background recording, it’s common practice for bands to use a slight back track, if the lead singer does all the recorded vocals on the song and the other vocalists aren’t able to perform said notes. Then a back track is a better option.

Also I find it odd when people that listen to radio go crazy for a “new” single when that song has been on an album that’s been out for two years. Not new.

Brent Smith is beyond a shadow of a doubt lip syncing the chorus to multiple songs on the CARNIVAL OF MADNESS charade.

    I Dare You
    Her Name Is Alice
    Crow & the Butterfly
    Second Chance
    Diamond Eyes
    Son of Sam
    Heroes

ALL CHORUSES LIP SYNCED. He sings the first chorus of Crow then the track handles the rest. Watch the videos. All of them sound exactly like the album every night. Brent can’t sing like that anymore. It’s actually funny to see the buildup to the chorus all off-key and then magically he sings perfect.

True Shinedown fans who’ve been to tours before can easily pick up on this bullcrap.

Brent Smith is nothing but an act wearing a stupid circus costume these days.
