The Foo Fighters have premiered the video for their sinlge “Rope” on MTV.com, check it out below.
This video looks like it was shot in the 80s. Not really impressed.
They recorded the album in his garage so an 80s type video makes sense.
Just because it makes sense doesn’t make it good. The White Limo video had an 80’s vibe too but used it effectively. This just looks awful and dated.
I don’t think the idea was to mimic the 80s so much as to make something homemade and cheap. It didn’t come out that well, but I guess I can respect their intentions.
I can see that too. I did happen to see one video recently that achieved that fairly well by having well-known singers lip sync to a song (Sara Bareilles’s Uncharted) using their own cameras/web cams. It was quite cute.
Seizures. I think I’m having them.
Whoa….when did Pat Smear rejoin the band?
…And how the F does he play with gloves on!?!?!!?
Pat’s back! He’s been a touring guitarist with them for the last few years but now is apparently a full member of the group again.
Its on ok song but not one of their best. I like the chorus more than the rest of the song. The vid is a bit old hat too yes lol.
Awesome video. Hopefully the new album would turn out great.
I like it…Song and video…
