  1. So I guess the question here is whether Ben will be suing Hollywood Records and trying to block the release of the GH album. The way his suit is worded, it kinda seems like he has to. The claims have as much to do with the record label as it does Aaron and Mark, and by only suing Aaron and Mark it will look like he’s just going after the ones without an army of lawyers.

  2. Don’t read it, sign it!

Can artists really entrust their fellow major label? The small print gives the majors the ability to sign documents in the band’s name, the right to force the artist to pay for unrecouped merchandise, financially penalizes those who leave the group, mandates that the band release 7 albums all while leaving less than a 15% share to the artist and songwriter respectively. Interesting read, thanks for posting.

  3. thanks for posting these.i think alot of their fan base is being misinformed.i sat down and read these docs over a couple of days.if im understanding correctly there seemed to be a clause in their contract which expired in 2010 which would allow mark and aaron the ability to make band decisions but only upon ben burnleys death or upon him not being able to no longer perform.well obviously he is neither of those.he has health issues..yes but i think he is of sound mind and can make decisions on what he feels is best for the band.he is the primary song writer of that band.he makes no bones about that in numerous interviews i have seen of him.i dont think ben is getting the credit he deserves from some of their fan base.he is the reason for that bands success.i dont feel he is asking for what he isnt owed.they sold a song they didnt have the right to.the remix is horrible.it was a way for hollywood records to promote some new band on their label.i dont blame him for not wanting to be attached to it or the greatest hits album(which im not going to buy)i can appreciate someone standing up for their music and songs..
