The Foo Fighters will begin work on a new album with producer Butch Vig (Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana) in September. No word on a possible release date.

The Smashing Pumpkins have made their new single “Freak” available as a free download on their website. The track will be included on their upcoming ‘Teargarden By Kaleidyscope Volume 2: The Solstice Bare‘ EP which is due out later in the year.

Bad City have signed with Atlantic Records and will release their debut album ‘Welcome to the Wasteland‘ on August 24th. The band will be supporting The Smashing Pumpkins this summer. Check out their MySpace for audio and tour dates.
