Soundgarden have debuted their new single “Black Rain” at this location. The track is apart of the band’s upcoming ‘Telephantasm‘ album which is due on September 28th.
Soundgarden’s new retrospective album, ‘Telephantasm‘, has been given a new release date of September 28th. The release will be available in three editions including a two disc set with twelve additional tracks, five of which are previously unreleased and a DVD with twenty music videos. A deluxe 3-LP vinyl edition and a limited release individually numbered super deluxe edition which combines the standard and vinyl editions with other bonus material.
A new Soundgarden best of release, ‘Telephantasm – A Retrospective‘, album is set to hit stores on October 5th. The set is expected to include the previously unreleased track “Black Rain”, which will be sent to radio in August.
Before playing at this year’s Lollapalooza, Soundgarden will perform at the Vic Theatre in Chicago for members of their fan club on August 5th. Members can register for a chance to purchase a pair of tickets at this location with winners to be notified via email.
Rev Theory are recording their third album in Los Angeles with producer Terry Date (Soundgarden, Deftones). An early 2011 release is expected with a supporting tour to kick off late this year.
Soundgarden, Green Day and Switchfoot are among the acts scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza 2010. The full line up for the event, which takes place from August 6th through the 8th at Grant Park in Chicago, is available here.
Soundgarden’s 1987 single “Hunted Down” along with the b-side “Nothing to Say” will be released as a limited edition seven inch vinyl to select independent retailers on April 17 for “Record Store Day”. A list of participating stores can be viewed here.
